Ideas on paper!

Feeling very unwell today, so apart from feeling sorry for myself I was able to find some space to sit down and roughly sketch out some of my ideas.   Something I have found very interesting about this daily blog is that the act of wanting to post something compelling each day has inspired me to come up with many new designs.  Now I just need to put these ideas into action.

here are some of the sketches I did today.  They are a rough sketches; a starting point.  This is where the design process starts for me. 

Mosaics of Cyprus

 My parents just shared these photos from their recent trip to my fathers birthplace Cyprus, they are truly beautiful.  It is incredible how graphic they are I can see the pattern above printed onto fabric to make a fantastic lamp shade. 

 What can I say, a fantastic pattern..... so inspiring!

1937 Kimono Fabric

First of Feb already, this is my new calendar page. Kimono fabric from sample book, Japan 1937
